Second opening night at MuVet: MANN's "Runners" arrive.
The two iconic bronze statues of young athletes (one the original, the other a copy) arrive in Vetulonia directly from the Museum of the Baths of Diocletian in Rome where they were on display for an exhibition.
For the occasion, young director Lorenzo Antonioni will present the documentary video "Journey to the Body to Body," which will be shown for the first time in the main hall of the exhibition and will tell the story of the project and the backstage of the exhibition. 
Further enriching the exhibition will be a selection of artifacts from the Etruscan period related to the theme of the sporting contest.

7:00 p.m. Institutional greetings by: Elena Nappi (mayor of Castiglione della Pescaia), Eugenio Giani (president Tuscany Region), Chiara Lanari (Cabinet Presidency Tuscany Region).
Followed by speeches for the MANN by: Paolo Giulierini (scientific director), Stefania Saviano (administrative director), Patrizia Cilenti (management secretary), Daniela Savy (University Federico II of Naples).
This was followed by speeches for the Igor Mitoraj Museum Foundation by: Graziana Maddalena (curator and consultants archives and artist).
Followed by speeches for Atelier Igor Mitoraj by: Luca Pizzi (artistic director).
Followed by speeches for Guardia di Finanza Roma by representatives of the Sezione Tutela Beni Demaniali e di Interesse Pubblico (Protection of State Property and Public Interest Section).

Also speaking are:

Ginevra Niccolucci (President of Prisma Firenze Cultural Association);
Matteo Trentanove (Illuminotecnica Exenia Firenze).
For the occasion, the Museum will remain open until 11 p.m.

BODY TO BODY

From the classical beauty of the masterpieces of the National Archaeological Museum in Naples to the classicism of Beauty in the work of Mitoraj

At MuVet - Isidoro Falchi Archaeological Museum - in Vetulonia from June 17 to November 2023, the exhibition "BODY TO BODY" will be staged . Visitors will have the privilege of witnessing an extraordinary and unique encounter: boxers, athletes and gladiators, masterpieces of ancient statuary in bronze and marble on loan from the MANN - National Archaeological Museum of Naples, will dialogue with the work "NUDO" by the greatest contemporary interpreter and privileged heir to the beauty of classical art, Igor Mitoraj. 
The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of the MuVet Museum of Vetulonia, viz:
daily (except non-holiday Mondays) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

POSTCARDS FROM THE FUTURE

The exhibition "Postcards from the future" will be on display at the Ximenes Red House until July 23.
The exhibition features a photo project by Bruno Zanzottera and Marta Ghelma inspired by Italo Calvino's Invisible Cities.
The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of the Ximenes Red House, viz:
